For more than 20 years, Jeff has defended catastrophic injury, major fires, warranty, economic loss, wrongful death, and other product liability claims brought against motor vehicle and recreational equipment manufacturers. Adapting his advocacy to meet client needs, Jeff works tirelessly to develop an understanding of the technical and scientific principles pertinent to defend the product both in and out of court.
Working with motor vehicle manufacturers over the years, Jeff has developed a deep appreciation for each organization’s unique business and culture, as well as its design, testing, development, and quality control methods.
General Motors v. Progressive Insurance
Lead counsel for General Motors and Ford Motor Company in a series of cases which significantly curtailed fire subrogation claims by the insurance industry. The Indiana Supreme Court established that damage to the product itself is not damage to property under the Indiana Product Liability Act.
Swan Lake v. Yamaha
Lead counsel for Yamaha and obtained defense verdict in a breach of warranty action over a fleet of golf cars.
Discovery Coordinator and E-discovery
Jeff also has extensive experience in the evolving issues surrounding e-discovery, and currently serves as discovery counsel for an international motor vehicle manufacturer in its litigation arising out of a recalled product.
